Nell Fry has volunteered to be the SOS Campus Supported Agriculture Project Leader! She will now be the point person for the CSA and will manage the following tasks.
- Work with the Chair of the Sustainable Food Committee (Liam) to change institution policy to include our CSA program in the list of allowed student vending on campus
- Coordinate the CSA drop-off with Will and Laurie Moore, move boxes with volunteer help and a hand-truck to the CSA pickup location ~1 hr before CSA pickup begins
- Maintain volunteers and fill in when necessary during the CSA pickup
- Maintain contact with CSA members
- Design and implement CSA programs to encourage student participation and engagement with local farmers and sustainable food system (cooking classes, farming work days)
- If policy changes do not occur work with CSA faculty members to secure an academic building for CSA pick-up (Carol Senf for permission at Skiles w/ skiles kitchen!)
