Students Organizing for Sustainability's Team Buzz project this year has us partnering with Let's Raise a Million! Saturday October 10th, 2009 at 8 am students from Georgia Tech campus will be coming together to enrich their community. TEAM Buzz is an organization devoted to making Atlanta better. Georgia Tech students participate in projects ranging from charity races through the city to converting an old parking garage into a homeless shelter.Sign up to join usThe SOS project will be a CFL install at Centennial Place Apartments. We will be doing this install in the pattern of the LRAM installs that have been done in the past. In teams of four, student-volunteers canvass a neighborhood by going door to door to discuss the benefits of using CFLs, and change every incandescent light bulb that the resident shows the team. Now, the proven and scalable model is preparing to launch on other campuses across the country.
